Karen Nethery Alves
Karen Nethery Alves is a public safety dispatcher, wife, mom, and grandmother who loves writing. Since the age of 7, when she wrote her first poem about nature, she's enjoyed writing. She won a poetry contest at the age of 15 with a poem about preserving the environment. As an adult, while working for a smalltown police department as a community service officer and serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, she wrote several community-minded articles for the local newspaper. She continues to write for personal enjoyment and is looking forward to writing a childrens book someday.
