Sabins Point

I love when people say comments that refer to their pets as more intelligent than politicians. Most of the time, the comments only have the value of humor or the comment is baseless given the capacity of the animal.
However, this notion of a family pet having more capabilities than our civic leaders allowed me the opportunity to explore how well our elected and appointed officials in relation to the issues that face their constituents. Thus, I have developed my series of articles called Sabin’s Point. Sabin is my family’s dog named after one of my favorite places to view the northern part of Narragansett Bay called Sabin Point.
If people are going to compare human intelligence to their family’s pet, my dog should have his say as well (figuratively, of course. Obviously, these are just essays of my opinion as they stand at the time they are posted.) So, what is Sabin’s Point?
