Raul F. Alaniz is a freelance writer who was born in Kingsville, Texas. He grew up in South Texas and was an internationally competitive classical pianist throughout high school. Raul studied at the University of North Texas, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and the University of Houston Law Center. He taught ESL at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in 2008.
