Sylvia Mcgrath
My name us Sylvia McGrath I Worked in the business field for about forty years, I was able to obtain business management experience and business writing skills. I also spent several years in social work for Children’s Services in Scotland.
Since retiring, over the past few years’ I have worked as a professional writer, a published poet and co-authored a book about living with chronic illness with Two Maximum Life Coaches. I am also the creator, columnist, and co-owner of a complimentary newsletter, which is published monthly for children with special needs, chronic illness and learning challenges and their parents.
Besides working as a freelance writer, I still try to find time to volunteer as a literacy tutor for our local Learning Centre, and assist in facilitating workshops on disability awareness; these also are two other passions of mine.
My main mission is to write books and advocate for young adults and children who have special needs, learning challenges and suffer with chronic illness.
Over the past year I have also written for the Examiner.com as their examiner on Special Education if Toronto.
