Life started for me in Devizes, Wiltshire. My successful school life, where I found my love of English Language, was intertwined with a love of most sports, especially football, hockey and field athletics. When I completed my A Levels, I moved Essex to study Linguistics at the University of Essex. After Graduation, I started working for Freedom Marketing in 2007 as a Feature Writer for Compareandsave.com, the UK's leading credit card comparison site, where I grabbed the opportunity to share the money saving tips I had aquired while living on a very small student loan. I researched and wrote content for the site, including the largest credit card guide on the internet. Today, I still work for Freedom Marketing but as the Editor of compareandsave.com and an Assistant Editor of uk.creditcards.com.Even though my job has evolved in the past 4 years, my aim while working at Freedom Marketing has always remained the same - to help educate UK consumers on personal finance issues and help save them money and time by using my specialist knowledge about credit cards, prepaid cards, savings accounts, insurance products and utilities to produce easy-to-understand articles and design useful tools.
