Russell is a professional musician who plays guitar in the band "Creole Stomp." The band specializes in Cajun and Zydeco music and they have been together around ten years traveling extensively across the United States. Russell is also a PhD in philosophy with a emphasis in contemporary continental philosophy. He is currently working on a book project that is focuses on the relationship between art and entertainment.
