Christopher Hignite
Christopher Hignite, a regular contributor to various news sites, is a photographer and independent journalist in Lexington, KY. A former small business owner, Christopher turned to activism full time after being falsely arrested many times while investigating links between city governments and escort agencies. This led to an interest in the court system and issues like access to legal help. In 2009 , Christopher co-founded We Are Change of Ky. with his brother to organize efforts in Kentucky to keep government accountable. Active in politics, Christopher tested the waters in 2010 with a run for city council in Lexington to bring attention to corruption and money mismanagement in local government.
