Alysia Stern
Alysia Stern has been writing since the age of nine. Her first publication was in 1999. She is a six time published children's book author, with three more books due out by the end of 2011. She uses a multitude of simple, monosyllabic, concrete words in her preschool through third grade books. This enhances easy reading and avid learning skills. The variety and use of repetition is ingenious. Yet her level of sophistication of vocabulary in her YA books is intense with limited Sesquipedalian verbiage.
Alysia has written a large collaboration of children's stories, poems, and chapter books. Her words are simply, astonishing. Her taste is delicate, yet charismatic. Alysia is a proud member of the SCBWI and a freelance writer in the New York area.
