I am many things. I'm a writer, a singer, an actor, a violinist, a violist, a bassist, an educator, a Christian, a daughter, and a wife, but my role of a lifetime is the honor of being Will and John's mother. Born in the south, I like to think that I have a knack for the southern story-telling tradition, replete with lots of parentheticals, colorful descriptors for every day things and events, dark comedy, and a real appreciation for the absurd. I enjoy writing about my mis-adventures in motherhood and the challenge of being a mother while also trying to preserve an identity outside of that role. I love to laugh. I love to joke. I love to read. I also love to find connections between my life experiences and those of others.
