As one of the many Americans among the unemployed, the result of excessive greed in Corporate America, in retrospect, what should be the worst time in my life has turned out to be my most productive and creative.
The first of ten stories in my children’s book series, “The Green Shoes & the Crown” titled, “Wondering in Warwickshire,” and the first draft of my first mystery & suspense novel titled, “Faceless” are complete, and I am busy plugging away at the second book in my series already.
The search for agency representation for my children’s book is underway and I am, as always, optimistic to be a full-time ‘working writer’ who is actually paid for their ‘creative genius’ in 2012.
Meanwhile, I see the generous offer from Yahoo! for contributing writers as an opportunity to get global exposure for my books, along with potential pay, and I am excited to be among the many talented contributors whose articles, when chosen, inform, and entertain the world daily.
Watching this new chapter in my life unfold right before my eyes is mostly exciting, sometimes terrifying, a non-stop, herky-jerky rollercoaster ride that often leaves me exhausted, but if I had, it to do over again I would not change a thing.
