Mary Kirchhoff was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and currently resides outside of Pittsburgh, PA. She began writing professionally in 2000, and has published articles in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, the McKeesport Daily News, and elsewhere.
As a finalist, semi-finalist and honorable mention in the HumorPress.com online humor writing contest, she particularly enjoys writing humor. With her whimsical take on life's everyday events and the people she comes across, Mary has alienated and infuriated friends, family, acquaintances and even little old church ladies, all of whom have been secretly known to laugh among themselves when mentioned in her writings.
