Bill Deaton

I am a former Outdoor Recreation Manager for a small luxury resort in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I have been employed in the outdoor recreation industry, one way or another, since 1990.

My previous employment has included many years at various summer camps, ultimately ending up as a camp program director. I have worked as a backpacking guide in New Mexico, sold outdoor recreation equipment for several companies, made snow and ran lifts at ski areas, and was an executive director for the Boy Scouts.

I also currently volunteer as a high-ropes/challenge course director for the Boy Scouts and am member of the National Ski Patrol. I have also served as a volunteer instructor for disabled skiers, a Leave-No-Trace outdoor educator, and have been affiliated with several hiking and outdoor clubs and groups throughout the Northeastern US.
