Fatima Alexander
Fatima Alexander is the owner of Rugla Bakery (www.ruglabakery.com) in Alexandria, VA. At Rugla, she prepares classic baked goods for the local farmer's market and online. In addition to selling her baked goods, Fatima also maintains a blog where she addresses everyday life issues, baking, in addition to, some of the experiences that she's encountered in growing her business.
Recently, Fatima was featured on NBC in two separate episodes, where she prepared her best-selling rugelach and banana muffins. While teaching the viewers some baking tips, she also discussed the inspiration behind starting her business.
Fatima has written a novel about domestic abuse and a play which was televised 1997, which addressed gun violence. She is currently working on her second novel.
