Jim Byrd
Jim Byrd is a constitutional originalist; he writes commentary regarding American politics and constitutional law based on this precept in a candid manner, but with a touch of anomalous irreverence as needed. He harbors absolute disdain for stare decisis when applied to constitutional law, and does not accept the term left or right politics, as all American politics and political parties are to the left of the creators of the Constitution and this country--it is just a matter of how far to the left that distinguishes American politics.
Though most of his articles are austere in nature, his most widely read and published works are political satire. His satirical article, Welfare Ain't What it Used to Be, was debated on Snopes.com as to whether it was factual or satire, and has received over 3,000,000 hits.
Jim Byrd lives in Texas with his wife and daughter.
