Anthony Aycock

In my less-than-forty years, I have been a librarian, teacher, writer, mail room clerk, and McDonald's restaurant manager. Some would call this job-hopping; I call it being a Renaissance Man.

Of these pursuits, writing is my favorite. In 2009, I got an M.F.A. in writing, and since then, I have published essays in The Missouri Review, The Gettysburg Review, and Creative Nonfiction. I have also written for Library Journal, ONLINE, and National Paralegal Reporter. My first book is due out next year. Its title: The Accidental Law Librarian.

I am married with two daughters, six cats, five hermit crabs, one fish, one coral snake, and about 2,000 books. Only two cats and 1,950 books are mine. The rest, including the daughters, come and go as they please.
