Retired from the Army and doing what I love. Watching and writing about sports. Former sports editor for the Tyler County Booster and current free lance sports journalist for the Houston Community Newspapers. Love to write. Currently working on my first book. Love talking sports and giving motivational presentations. Former athlete who's biggest claim to fame is winning my fantasy league spinner baseball league. Season ticket holder with the Houston Dynamo and tried out for the Dayton Dynamo of the NPSL. Favorite teams include St Louis Cardinals (native St Louisian), Chicago Bulls, St Louis Blues, Chicago Bears and St Louis Rams, Notre Dame, University of Missouri and Duke University. Would love to work for a professional sports organization someday. i consider myself well versed in all sports but could talk for hours about baseball and soccer. I am a sports purist some might say as i do not like wild card anything. Only the best should ply for a title. Yes the wild card gave the Cardinals a shot at the World Series title this year and in 06 but they were clearly not the best team. Sports should be about the field of athletic competition and not about the money. Albert Pujols disappointed me going for the gold. I was really hoping a player might really stay loyal to a team much like Barry larkin of the Cincinnati Reds who I think deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
