Emily Swearingen
Spending much of her childhood abroad, Emily grew up enthralled with the world and all that it offers. Spending time in places like Europe, Africa, and South East Asia, she embraced her love of volunteering and worked with those who (seemed) less fortunate than herself. What she learned was that it was she who was less fortunate than those she sought to help... These countries became her home and their soil still calls her name and begs her to return.
After falling in love with the world, she then fell in love with a soldier in the United States Army. Yet another adventure was laid before her and she welcomed it with open arms - learning military jargon and understanding the motto "hurry up and wait", she began the next chapter of her life. Marrying into the military was an exciting enticement, which she accepted, full force.
Now, she's found herself at a crossroads and hoping to combine the best of both worlds. As a humanitarian hippie and a traveling guru, she hopes to continue learning from the world, all while being married into the United States Army.
Will she succeed? Time will tell, but she plans on making this life her one, true, adventure.
