Civil War Chaplain
Wayne Eder is the Chaplain for Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, General William Passmore Carlin Camp 25 in Reno, NV. He serves on the Board of Directors for Battle Born Civil War Reenactors in Carson City, NV and as Captain of Battery B, 1st New Jersey Light Artillery.
An American Civil War reenactor since 2001, Wayne has portrayed a dismounted Federal Cavalry Trooper at the 145th Gettysburg (PA) and 145th Picacho Peak (AZ) battle reenactments and was an extra in the 2008 movie "Gettysburg: Darkest Days, Final Hours".
A graduate of the National Fire Academy, Executive Fire Officer Program, Wayne holds an MBA from California Coast University and a BS in Fire Protection Administration. His 30 year fire service career has included service as a Fire Chief, College/University Professor and Administrator, and includes professional certifications in Nevada, California, Oregon, and Arizona.
