Ken Lyons
Born and raised in Dallas, TX, he's a young writer with a passion to creatively reach out to people with epic stories and challenging moments.
His career both in broadcasting and ministry has taken him to several places and has gained him multiple levels of experience.
He served as weather forecaster for KNON 89.3 FM, a writer for KFOR-TV NBC 4, News Research and Assistant Assignment Editor for KXAS-TV NBC 5, a Reporter and Producer for Radio America Network and an Cartoon Analyst and Reviewer for the online news magazine Animation Insider.
While at Oklahoma Christian University, he hosted a radio show called “The Commentary,” where he covered social issues and news affecting children and family.
In May of 2005, Kendall preached his first sermon at Carver Heights Baptist Church in Dallas, TX and has been preaching for more than 6 years. He now serves as a Youth Minister and Associate Minister at Beth-Eden Baptist Church, where the Pastor is C.O. Preston.
Along with a passion for youth ministry, Kendall also has a great interest in cartoons and animation. In December of 2010, Kendall was blessed with the ability to create his comic strip called “Kid Eccentric,” the story of an 11-year-old boy named Ken whose overly-intellectual personality sends him into a spiral of misadventure. By Spring of 2011, “Kid Eccentric” was copyrighted.
When he has spare time, Kendall enjoys reading, writing, playing video games, watching movies (or cartoons), drawing more, spending time with family and traveling.
