As a divorced mom of two children, Michele Mathews has worked as a journalist for a local small town newspaper, freelanced for a nearby city's Sunday newspaper, and in September 2005 published her first book called Living, Sleeping and Eating Band. She is currently in her 17th year working in the education field; she has been an English teacher, a remediation aide and now a resource aide in a classroom for emotionally disabled high school students. She tutors at a local youth center for at-risk middle school students and is a Photo Solutions Specialist for Creative Memories.
