Adrienne Cohen

Adrienne Cohen

Adrienne is a former suburban daily newspaper editor turned freelance writer, following a “life detour” through motherhood, business, a second career as a designer/homebuilder in Santa Fe, N.M., extensive travel and a “tour of duty” as first mate on a cruising boat. Now settled again in Dallas after a two-decade absence, she is picking up the thread of life in the big city, operating a home-staging and desgn company with her husband and relishing her developing role as grandmother.

Her interests are varied, her enthusiasms extensive, her only complaint that there still aren’t enough hours in the day. An unapologetic “newshound,” Adrienne loves digging deep to find and tell the stories she sees all around her. She writes about healthy food for, current events and cultural affairs whenever possible, and lifestyles and travel for various publications.

Deeply inquisitive about culture and tradition, she is interested in exploring family genealogy and military history, holiday celebrations, environmental concerns and anything else that strikes her fancy. She usually has a camera in hand, and loves music and art, books, oriental rugs (because they are never perfect, just like people), sports cars, jeeps, color and quirky design. If she could be anywhere she wanted, it would be on the bow of a boat, or barefoot on a beach in the Bahamas.
