Cody Wilcoxson

Cody Wilcoxson works in sports public and media relations.

Nothing has defined him more than sports. From a childhood of playing catch with his dad in the yard, to playing four years of collegiate baseball, Wilcoxson has been engrossed in sports for as long as he can remember.

An avid Colorado sports fan, he and his family moved to Denver in 1993, the same year the Rockies debuted as a franchise. His childhood consisted of two Stanley Cup titles for the Avalanche, two Super Bowls for the Broncos and a World Series appearance for the Rockies.

He graduated in four years with a BA in Communications and a minor in writing while pitching for the baseball team and serving as an intern in the sports information department.

Sports has allowed Wilcoxson to enjoy one of his other great passions, travel. As an athlete in college he was able to play all over the country. As a post-grad, he served as a press officer for a USA Baseball national team, working in North Carolina, California, Taiwan and South Korea--he came home with a gold medal and memories to last a lifetime.

He has spent time working for the U.S. Olympic Committee, even living at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Exploring his passions with the pen--or keyboard, if you will--is his intended career path. Baseball, football, Olympics, golf and all college sports top his interests.
