    After a week and a half of screenings, events, and parties, AFI Dallas 2008 ended yesterday; I was only able to attend one day, but at the risk of being assumptive, I've got some thoughts -- positive and negative.

    Rob Zombie's "reinvention" feels more like the director had a few ideas about the Myers back-story that he wanted to take a stab at, and then used a Cliffs Notes version of the 1978 original to fill in the rest. It's a shame, because the film had potential.
