Vicki Messer
In 1997 I began a personal journey of healing from decades of childhood sexual abuse. For the better part of 10 years, I worked my way through the painful repressed memories of incest at the hands of several family members.
Both during and following my own healing and recovery from these wounds, I began to reach out to help and encourage other survivors of sexual abuse and incest. This was done through writing about the recovery process and also through participating in leadership of recovery groups.
It has always been my joy to see how God works His healing in the hearts and lives of so many victims and survivors of sexual abuse.
Sometimes I think I've done enough and try to pack it all in and not worry about all the others who are still struggling their way through the profound damages caused by sexual abuse. I am finding that I simply cannot do that. And so, I write and will continue to write in order to effectively minister hope and healing in the wounded hearts and souls of struggling survivors.
