Sean Sylver

Sean is a Boston-based fan, writer, radio personality and avid gardener. His favorite teams are the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox.

“The Sylver Fox” attended Stonehill College in Easton, MA, where he produced and co-hosted the “Fire It Up” radio program on 91.3 WSHL. He and co-host Jay Hall revived the program on 91.5 WMFO in Medford, MA while Sean pursued a Master’s degree from Tufts University. The show ran for four years and featured original content and interviews ranging from local sports bloggers to Major League scouts and NHL broadcasters. Sean also co-hosted "GameTime" with Brian Brickley.

While maintaining an online presence at The Fox Hole, Sean began writing for Babble’s Disney Dads in 2013, interviewing Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. He contributed a piece on Reggie Lewis to the Pro Hoops History website later that year and started contributing to Yahoo! Sports in November.

An environmental planner by day, Sean is a conservation advocate and a talented landscape designer and gardener. He considers himself a Sikma-like presence in the paint and plays basketball year-round. He has visited 27 of the 30 Major League ballparks.
