Jason R. Stafford

JR (pronounced jay-ar..non junior) Stafford, having spent a lifetime growing up in a small town in Missouri, decided to venture into the wild west and see if the world was as cruel as he had been led to believe. Selling everything and hitting the road, he landed in the outback of Arizona. Setting up camp near a loose-knit community known as Cascabel, he learned what it takes to survive, alone and without the comforts of home. After spending nearly a year camping in the desert, he decided to return to civilization upon hearing of the lack of governmental response to the Hurricane Katrina flooding disaster in New Orleans. Now living in New Orleans, he spends his time with locals and non profits, helping get the word out: "We're still rebuilding." Holding various jobs such as installing internet, managing businesses, and bar tending, has given JR an insight to the local flavors of New Orleans. Now living in the world famous Lower 9th Ward, he continues to expand his reach into a community that was ignored by the US Government, but not the world.
