Catherine Long is an Alabama based writer where she lives with her husband and two sons. She is a former columnist for The Anniston/Gadsden Christan Family magazine where she wrote "The Encouraging Word" column. She has also been published in The Gadsden Times and Okinawa Today and The Encourager. She is a former employee of the State of Alabama where she worked for the health department and then with the social services division.
