Cherise Kelley
Although Cherise has taught high school, middle school and college basic skills courses, she is currently doing her favorite job: high school substitute teacher. She worked her way through college as an insurance policy analyst, secretary, suit salesman, pizza deliverer, waitress and singer/actor. She adjusted injury claims from 1999 through 2007.
Cherise has completed eleven courses in insurance and personal finance through the American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, and two courses through LOMA, the Life Insurance Office Management Association. She worked for Farmers Insurance from 1997 to 2007, starting as a coder and working up to liability claims adjuster in 1999. Before college, Cherise was a policy analyst at Executive Life Insurance Company for two years. Through this training and experience she writes about car insurance, homeowners insurance, life insurance, insurance claims and other personal finance matters.
Since 2005 Cherise has been in Christian ministry, singing the hymns for the senior citizens at nursing homes or singing in church choirs.
