North Carolina native, Mecca Donna, began writing poetry as a child. Her first published work was a Haiku in an Elementary School newspaper. In 1999, Mecca Donna accepted her first Editorial position at Suite101.com. She would serve as Soul Music Editor for years to come. She covered R&B/Soul Music's transition into the "Neo-Soul" Era. Throughout her 8 year Journalism Career she has penned album reviews and conducted interviews with some of the Entertainment Industry's most respected creative and professional talents. During this time she also produced the Nationally Syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show and provided commercial voice over services to such multi-billion dollar companies like Daimler-Chrysler, GMC,McDonald's,Geico, and Air Jamaica Airlines.
