Jeanne Sparks-Carreker

Convicted felon, reformed drug trafficker, disenfranchised from society by the government. I spend most of my time creating ways to educate non-users about drug addiction, so that addicts are understood and not thrown away.

I look forward to the day that treatment for addiction is given back to the medical field and taken away from the Department of Corrections.

I do not believe in the legalization of hard drugs.

I am a Christian, first and foremost; I am also a freelance media professional, an artist, an activist, and published author.

Published Author: Opposing Viewpoints Series: Addiction, Christina Fisanick, Greenhaven Press; pp.178-183; "Drug Clinics Are Not Effective at Treating All Opiate Addictions."-Jeanne Sparks-Carreker, Published: April,2009

Favorite authors: David Hume, Baruch Spinoza, Stokeley Carmichael, Maya Angelou, Emily Dickenson

Favorite films include: A Beautiful Mind, Mulholland Drive, Deja Vu, and forgive me, but anything with Will Farrell or Jim Carrey-they are so freaking funny.
