The author grew up as a dog owner. She become involved in dog rescue, fostering and rehabilitation, starting with Lucky, pictured on this profile. Sharon is also an active member of the Official Dog Whisperer Yahoo group and has met Cesar Millan at his Dog Psychology Center.
She also has over 25 years experience in Information Technology, and is currently employed in a Business Analyst role in the transportation industry. The author is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
Sharon has an eclectic background, having worked stints as a un-certified dog trainer, dog washer - groomer, vet's helper, administrative assistant, bookseller, retail sales clerk, flute tutor, babysitter and other odd positions. One of the most memorable was a year working for Consumer Advocate and Reporter Herb Denenberg (Denenberg's Dump) on the nightly news, which helped her become a savvy consumer.
