I possess a Master's degree in geography and have travelled extensively across North America and Europe. I have been an Arctic explorer (Baffin Island), teacher, university administrator, public relations professional, and association executive. I have been an on-air host of public affairs programming and have produced dozens of educational television programs as well as authoring books on sailing in Lake Ontario and local histories. I have been so active in volunteering on the Boards of local community organizations that I was honored by being inducted into the "Alumni Gallery of Distinction" of my alma mater. I am currently on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Woodlot Association and President of the Dundas Valley Orchestra which is comprised of high-performance amateur musicians.
