I am a Ph.D. Educational Psychologist with over 35 years of experience in the fields of human development, behavior, and learning. I have hands on experiences as well consultative experiences in all areas. I have also conducted trainings and developed curricula in these fields.
I started my professional career as a classroom teacher and spent 11 years in public schools. I was a first grade teacher, a teacher of the educable mentally retarded, and I taught students with learning disabilities.
I spend 6 years working as a Child Development Specialist on a psychiatric preschool unit of a mental health hospital.
I was a Learning Skills Specialist in an acute rehabilitation hospital working with persons with head trauma and strokes.
I was faculty at the University of Missouri for 6 years. I was the Director of the Center for Innovations in Special Education and I taught courses in Special Education.
I am adjunct faculty at Columbia College.
