My first career was as a cosmetologist which I practiced for 17 years. I owned my own beauty salon for 11 of those years. After our two children started school I left the beauty industry and began a second career building custom homes with my husband. I studied and received my contractor's license. Among other things I've driven a commercial truck, worked at a bookstore, and with Hertz.
