Talitha Bing

A life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Secretary of Post 7067 Ladies Auxiliary, I feel that my life and resources are most valuable when they are used to help others. This is best evidenced by the more than 2,000 volunteer hours I have contributed to the VFW. I am a state, regional, and national beauty queen, and I use my royalty titles to make the most benevolent impact possible in the lives of my neighbors. I regularly write to President Obama, whose Inauguration I attended in January 2009.

I hold an Honors College Bachelor of Arts (Cum Laude) degree in English from Claflin University, where, at 20, I was the youngest member of my class.

I am a Special Reporter for LowcountryUS.net.

I am a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, where I serve on the Usher Board.

I am a Notary Public for the State of South Carolina.

I like to track and study hurricanes, and am volunteer weather observer for CoCoRAHS Network.

I like being the face painter at functions for kids. I like scrapbooking, *love* fishing, and enjoy embroidery, glass-etching, crocheting, and jewelry-making for friends and neighbors.

I am the youngest girl of the four children of Janet Bing. My heroes are my mother and my Lord.
