Debbie Roome
Debbie Roome was born and raised in Zimbabwe and later spent fifteen years in South Africa. In 2006 she moved to New Zealand with her husband and five children. Writing has been her passion since the age of six and is now her fulltime career. She has won many awards for her work and her first novel, Embracing Change was published in 2010. Subsequent books include Magnitude 7.1 & 6.3, Cyber-Bullying is Never Alright and Mind Games. Debbie has a keen interest in medical conditions and diseases as well as years of practical experience. Her first born was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic in 1999 and her sister was born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. She also has a passion for helping those with autism and Asperger s Syndrome. Debbie s writing has opened doors for public speaking and she is often asked to share her life story and experiences as a writer.
