Christopher Darryn
I'm President of a company called The Research Department which has been serving the information needs of the entertainment industry since 1986. We're presently based in Burbank, California and our nearly 24 year niche area has been primarily offering research support to nationally televised talk shows and reality shows (nearly 50 shows in various genre's since we started). I've worked with shows in all major US markets plus the UK and Australia and have earned an excellent reputation assisting shows with background segment research and in locating potential guests.
My company was kind of a "secret research weapon" within the industry during our early years as producers used us "quietly" to gain a research edge over their competition. Then in Dec. 1992 the Los Angeles Times did an article that actually called us one of Hollywood's "best kept secrets" for just that reason. After the L.A. Times article hit, the word about us spread within the industry and even to the general public. We began receiving so many letters from people who wanted to be guests on talk shows that in 1993 I founded The National Talk Show Guest Registry. It was quickly recognized internationally by the media as the first clearinghouse in the world for "regular people" who wished to appear as guests on talk shows and share their personal stories. Ironically, I actually ended up as a guest on half a dozen TV shows talking about people who wanted to be guests on TV shows.
Thank you for reading my bio!
Sincerely,
Christopher Darryn
