William Lake
Aspiring world traveler, photographer, freelance writer, and constant student I have always tried to broaden my horizon. This has taken the form of trips to Lisbon, Portugal and The Islands of Hawaii. And trips just around the corner to the new Japanese "Bento" restaurant and liquor stores to sample a new champagne or vodka.
Life is far to short to get stuck in a rut, and that belief has guided my actions thus far in life. I happened upon this revelation while working a dead-end summer job testing integrated circuits.
That was the summer that I took up photography, with no more than a thirty year old Pentax ME and an outdated copy of "The Joy of Photography." It was that same summer that I began to find an interest in writing for my own pleasure. Soon after I was enrolled in plenty of creative writing courses at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
As these two hobbies began to grow and "blossom" if you will, they started to grow around each other. A picture is worth a thousand words, so why not try and do it justice by paying that debt?
And that is where I am at in life, following my quest for new and noteworthy experiences in life and fighting to preserve them in both celluloid (well, pixels...) and the written word.
