Writing has always been my passion while my life took other paths. I spent ten years in newspaper writing; however, my first love is fiction.
I've completed several writing courses and continue to work in creative fiction and Internet writing since my retirement in 2008.
In the 1980s and 1990s, I worked in staff and free-lance journalism for several local newspapers including The Northwest-Signal, Napoleon, Ohio; The Deshler Flag, Deshler, Ohio; and The Leipsic Messenger, Leipsic, Ohio. I've also worked in the delivery end of newspapering as a neighborhood carrier and as a rural motor route driver.
I have graduated from several Writer's Digest writing courses and the Famous Writer's School, Westport, Connecticut correspondence course.
In the 1970's I helped found Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and served as a contributor and editor of its newsletter, The Staffer.
Self-publishing endeavors have always been a favorite pursuit. I publish handcrafted booklets, novelettes, and projects, as well as a newsletter on self-publishing prospects.
