Angela Brown

I'm a quirky blend of artist and business girl. If you ask me, it's the best of both worlds! I love the business of business. Nothing makes me happier than vivid color, fresh air, a cup of tea, and seeing diverse creativity in other business owners. I'm all about design and color in my house (including my closet), but I'm also a girl who likes to solve problems and deal with the details of owning a business. I love books and reading. My current challenges are Seth Godin and Dale Carnegie. If you visit my home you will find me hanging out with my hunky hubby, my Boglen Terrier, Lexi, and her ornery Basset Hound "sister," Roxie. I'll either be drinking exotic teas in pajama pants, watching a black and white movie, or reading. It's a great life! www.terraverdemarketing.com

  • How to Create a Business that Reflects Who You Are
One of my favorite stores of all time is Anthropologie. Their products are a smashing blend of all things old school, retro, and vintage with a modern bent.
  • Targeting Your Customers: Why Marketing to Everyone is like Marketing to No One
Sometimes people ask me, "why shouldn't I market to everybody"? Because "everybody" is not specific enough. When you market to "everybody," you have to be general enough that "everybody" can relate to all of your marketing strategies.
  • Marketing and Branding 101: How Unique Brands Promote Themselves
The old marketing addendum says that people have to come into contact with your business four to six times before they will commit to buying anything.
  • Entrepreneurial Fever
I have a sticky note on my computer monitor that says, "the possibilities are endless." I have always believed that; ever since I was a kid, I have had some kind of business.
