Thomas West
Thomas grew up in West Virginia, where he earned a B.A. in English, History, and Classics from Marshall University. He went on to earn an M.A. in English (with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Women s and Gender Studies) from Syracuse University. Starting Fall 2011, he will also be pursuing his Ph.D. in English there. He is also at work on a novel exploring the lives of the Roman Empresses Julia Domna and Julia Maesa, and he regularly blogs about politics, culture, and writing.
