Pilar Davis
Pilar L. Davis is a freelance journalist and communications professional. She received a Bachelors degree from The University of Illinois in Chicago in 2004 and a Masters Degree in Journalism from Regent University in May 2010.
Pilar has worked as a freelance writer for Stripes Okinawa and Okinawa Marine, local military newspapers in Japan where she and her Marine husband were stationed. Most recently she published a piece in ReNeW Magazine, a national magazine devoted to educating the public to alcohol and drug addiction. She has worked in radio and television production for AFN Okinawa studios and starred in military PSA commercials.
Pilar was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. As a child she attended the prestigious McDade Classical Magnet School in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood. As a magnet student she had the opportunity to begin highschool early and was accepted to Kenwood Academy High School in Chicago's affluent Hyde Park neighborhood. It was there she met her future husband.
Pilar is currently in the St. Louis area working as a freelance writer.
