Michele Riedmueller

Born in Brooklyn, New York, in the small town of Canarsie, on October 23, 1959. I was the third of four girls, Maria, Lorraine and Elisabeth. Our father was a mechanic for PanAmerican Airlines and our mother were as a seamstress for a small "sweat shop" that sewed clothing for major labels such as Lerner's. I attended Catholic elementary school but finished in public school graduating from South Shore High School on Flatlands and Ralph Avenues in 1977. I moved to Florida in 1981 shortly after the death of John Lennon. The memorial in Central Park was the last "big city" event I attended as a New Yorker before establishing transplanted routes in the Sunshine State. I attended St. Petersburg Junior College and the University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1994. My husband, parents, mother-in-law and infant son were present at the graduation. I continued my established career with the Department of Children & Families (State of Florida) as a Children & Families Counselor and then retired in 1998, after the birth of my daughter. At the present time, I am a stay-at-home mom. I do volunteer work in the community recently finishing up as Concession Stand Manager for the past 3 years for Tarpon Soccer. I have three dogs, 1 hamster, 1 guinea pig and a gecco named, Natalie. I have great interest in metaphysical studies and alernative healing methods. I am an experienced Tarot Card Reader and a Reiki II Practitioner. As the daughter of an airline employee, I have traveled extensively. It is this gift of seeing other cultures that has opened my mind to the idea of the effectiveness of change through community partnerships and service.
