A graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism, Steele attended graduate school at UNC-Greensboro for film production. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he serves as the Executive Director of the Georgia Film Foundation. He also works as a producer of independent films with Prime Factor Films and O.E.C.
