Wayne L. Eder, EFO, MBA
Director of the University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy. A professional Fire Chief and College Professor, Wayne holds an MBA, BS, and AS degree, and is currently completing his Doctorate (PhD) program in Business Administration. A Certified NFPA Firefighter I & II; Fire Officer II "Chief Officer" and Fire Instructor III "Master Instructor" in both California and Oregon, as well as an Airport Firefighter/Driver-Operator/Officer and National Registry EMT-Basic. His hobbies include Civil War Reenacting, and he is a member of the "California 100", 2nd Massachusets Volunteer Cavalry in California's National Civil War Association.
Wayne is also a College/University Professor, instructing fire technology, homeland security, and hazardous materials courses in California. A successfull grant writer with over $9 million is successfull grants, Wayne is an advocate of volunteer fire departments, and works closely with the Insurance Services Office (ISO) to improve community fire protection.
