Teresa McLeod

This free-lance writer began writing professionally in 2002 after drafting & teaching real estate investment seminars for several local Universities. A former Realtor, Appraiser and licensed Contractor, she entered the Disaster Inspection industry after the 9/11 event changed her outlook on life. When not deployed to a domestic disaster she takes humanitarian assignments with international organizations. Her favorite time abroad was a guest lecturer assignment at the University of Yanbian in the Jilin Province of China where she was able to travel to a nearby third world country to deliver medicine and supplies to orphans.

The 9/11 tragedy lead to a career working with victims of catastrophes. A First Responder, subcontracted Disaster Inspector and Catastrophe Adjuster, Teresa now works throughout the US at federally declared disasters. In 2009 she became a State Group Director of Public Affairs and Officer for the Civil Air Patrol, the auxiliary organization of the United States Air Force. Her assigned duties with this Homeland Security monitored agency have included covering newsworthy events, working as a Ghost Writer for Commanders and writing press releases and special articles as a media broadcast journalist.
