I grew up in southern California when it was still fairly easy to get around and before the days of smog. I remember strawberry fields and orange groves when they dotted the landscape. I left at the age of 31 to try and find work since at the time California was going through a recession. Sound familiar?
I have lived in Reno, Nevada which in many ways reminds me of the southern California of old. I then with my husband and daughter moved to Mason City, Iowa. Then it was on to Oregon, to central California where there are still fields with fruit and vineyards. Then low and behold back to Iowa where I now live with my daughter in a small town outside of Sioux City.
There are many things I enjoy.
