Trevor Mulligan

I originate from south London (England) but now live on the Kent coast. I have taken (very) early retirement from my job of 38 years, which I find is useful for caring more for my disabled wife. Whoever said that 'retirement is for enjoyment' wants a clip round the ear, because I've found it anything but enjoyable so far. There's certainly loads of work to be found and dealt with.

I have always written articles, for as far back as I can remember, and have had several items published in various magazines. My main interest, though, is football (association... the English kind), which should NOT be called 'soccer' under any circumstances! It is the only true game with a ball where the players predominantly use the foot to propel the ball, so please don't get me started on American or Australian Rules football or even rugby...

I support and follow Cray Wanderers, who are the second-oldest association football club in the world. Founded in 1860, this year (2010) sees the Club celebrate a magnificent 150 years' birthday.
