Mercale is a freelance writer, wife and mother of six living on Michigan s coast. Mercale s work has been published in magazines, newsletters and anthologies as well as various online sites. She has been blessed to have had an extremely large and varied experience base upon which to draw for her writing and continues to enjoy expanding her knowledge daily. Mercale loves any topic that teaches us something about our world, and how we can live more in harmony with it. To this end, she organized and planned an annual green living festival in her home town. Mercale says, I really love to learn new things and then find ways to integrate what I ve learned into my own life. Organizing the Green Gathering gave me a lot of exposure to different ways of doing things that are kinder both to our planet and ourselves. It changed our household s whole way of being and I feel very grateful.
Over the course of her life she s dealt with birth, death, love, marriage, divorce, addiction, abuse, physical and mental disabilities, and much more. I really strive to learn something from every experience. When it s really bad, when it s at it s darkest moment, while I m crying, I m asking myself: What is there to learn here? How can this situation be resolved to the highest good?. I feel lucky to be able to think that way, and it s brought me some really important insights. I hope that by sharing the things I ve learned I can help others as well.
