Denise Weikel
I was born and raised in Michigan, spent about 15 years in New Jersey, and am currently residing in Henderson, Nevada. I'm now 54 and a single mom. I have been blessed with three children. My oldest is 32 and has given me two beautiful granddaughters. I have a daughter and son both at home with me and both teenagers. And yes, I'm a little gray.
I was never a great student until well after my high school years were over. Then it seemed the older I got the more I wanted to learn. I am proud to say my kids have done well in that area. About ten years ago I discovered an ability to write poetry. With encouragement from friends I've written poems and a few short stories. I've even gotten two of my poems published. I live a quiet life and write here to share what I've written.
